Newspapers available at the Idaho Public
Archives and Research Library
Family Research will search for any Idaho
newspaper record for you. The Idaho State
Historical Library and Archives holds a substantial
collection of Idaho newspapers on microfilm,
including daily and weekly publications, as well as a
variety of irregularly published materials. We also have access to
the collections of the various colleges and universities of the
state. Also
available are a limited number of early titles from
other western states, such as California, Oregon,
Utah, and Washington.
Local newspapers are a vast source of
genealogical material including births, deaths,
marriages, legal notices, as well as human interest
and historical articles. If you have a date and
location, we can usually perform a search for $25
or less, including all expenses. Check availability
