What Our Privacy Policy Covers
- This policy covers how we treat personal information that we collect and
receive, including information related to your past use of products and
services. Personal information is information about you that is personally
identifiable like your name, address, email address, phone number, or other
information that is not otherwise publicly available.
- Family Research does not rent, sell, or share personal information about
you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide the
products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or
under the following circumstances:
- In response to subpoenas, court orders, or legal
process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights,
or defend against legal claims; or if
- We believe it is necessary to share information in
order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal
activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to
the physical safety of any person, or as otherwise required by law.
- Family Research Group does not send mail, electronic mail, or other
correspondence to you, except to provide the products or services you
requested.
- Any family information supplied by you in order to assist our research,
remains your property, and will be returned upon completion of the project
upon request. We consider this information to be a private matter between
Family Research Group and yourself, and we will not release such information
unless under the provisions of #2 above.
Confidentiality and Security
- We limit access to personal information about you to those who we
believe reasonably need to have that information in order to provide
products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.
- We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with
federal regulations to protect personal information about you.
- In certain areas we may use industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect
data transmissions.
