We digitally scan your old, damaged, or deteriorating photograph and repair or enhance them using "digital software applications," without damaging the original photograph. Occasionally, old prints or negatives are so damaged that little can be done to restore their quality, but we can still save what is currently there. We use only the best archival quality ink and paper to print your photograph, and even save the original and enhanced scans on Compact Disk or DVD for you. Document Conservation

One of the greatest dangers to research is the continued destruction of original paper documents due to improper handling and acid paper. Acid eventually turns paper brown and brittle. Without proper conservation measures, it will eventually disintegrate completely. You can see this affect quite easily in newsprint, when after a few weeks of exposure to light or water, they turn dark.

Like most of us, you probably have at least one original, old document in your possession. If so, they may need conservation to protect them. Family Research can test your document, neutralize acid content, and place them under clear archival covers to protect them from outside exposure. Don't wait until it's too late.
