Newspapers available at the Idaho Public Archives and Research Library
Family Research will search for any Idaho newspaper record for you. The
Idaho State Historical Library and Archives holds a substantial
collection of Idaho newspapers on microfilm, including daily and weekly
publications, as well as a variety of irregularly published materials.
We also have access to the collections of the various colleges and
universities of the state. Also available are a limited number of early
titles from other western states, such as California, Oregon, Utah, and
Washington.
Local newspapers are a vast source of genealogical material including
births, deaths, marriages, legal notices, as well as human interest and
historical articles. If you have a date and location, we can usually
perform a search for $25 or less, including all expenses. Check
